Department of Emergency Medicine at Allegheny General Hospital
The Department of Emergency Medicine at Allegheny General Hospital is one of the busiest in southwestern Pennsylvania. There is a diverse mixture of patients and medical problems in the department 24 hours a day. Thirteen full-time and two part-time attending staff physicians provide 24-hour supervision of patient care and educational activities in the Emergency Department.



The Center for Poison Treatment was established in 1988 as the first poison treatment in Western Pennsylvania, and continues its dedicated efforts in treatment of poisoned patients. Find out more.
