Janice Anderson, MD is a graduate of the University of Pittsburgh Medical School and Shadyside Hospital Family Practice Residency. She is a Fellow of the American Academy of Family Physicians, and certified by the American Board of Family Practice. After residency training, Dr. Anderson spent five years in rural West Virginia under the National Health Service Scholarship Program. She is currently coordinating the obstetrics curriculum for the Residency Program. She is National Course Advisor for the annual Pittsburgh Advanced Life Support in Obstetrics (ALSO) Course and has taught in multiple ALSO instructors courses. In addition to teaching the family practice approach to obstetrics, she teaches general family practice and gynecological procedural skills, such as colposcopy. She is active in the Allegheny Unitarian Universalist Church. Her personal interests include racquetball, cross-stitch, and enjoying time with her committed partner and son.
