John E. Nemec, MD

John E. Nemec, MD, a full-time faculty member of the program, is a graduate of the University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine. Following his residency at St. Margaret Memorial Hospital in Pittsburgh, he served two years as director of a family practice center at Andrews Air Force Base in Washington, D.C.. Certified by the American Board of Family Practice, he operated a practice in Family Medicine for 10 years prior to joining the program. Dr. Nemec is school physician for the Yough School District where he is actively involved with the sports teams and is Medical Director of Gateway School District.  His special interests include community and sports medicine. He enjoys skiing, snowmobile riding, and playing liturgical music on the organ.
