 Allegheny-Singer Research InstituteOffice of Regulatory AffairsThe Regulatory Affairs Department's primary function is to ensure institutional compliance with federal regulations for all research conducted on human subjects and laboratory animals at Allegheny General Hospital/Allegheny-Singer Research Institute. Some of the services available include providing investigators, research study coordinators and support staff assistance in preparing various submissions to all of the regulatory committees, developing and conducting research educational programs. Also, negotiate federal regulatory committee assurances, IRB Authorization Agreements, and Unaffiliated Investigator Agreements. The department serves as liaison with the Food and Drug Administration, Office for Human Research Protection , and the Office of Biotechnology Activities for regulatory committee issues.
