Life After Residency
hen a resident graduates from any program they have to make certain life choices. First, they must decide to seek out Fellowship training or go into General Orthopedics. From there they must decide on the location of their practice, private or group practice, rural or academic center, research or no. It can easily be said that the telltale sign of the quality of a residency program is not the current residents, but the residents that have already finished. What they do and are capable of is in large part thanks to the training that they received during their residency. One may also speculate that the ultimate decision about pursuing a career in general orthopedics immediately after residency is based on the comfort level of the resident and the confidence that they can perform cases without supervision. This is something which may only be achieved in the operating suite through repetition and constant supervision over the course of five years. The list that follows is a list of all of the graduates of our program, some background information, their current location, and fellowship training if any.
