Life Outside of Residency

O

verall, the residents are a close knit group and frequently spend time together outside of work, either at sporting events, impromptu get togethers, parties, or nights on the town.  There are also multiple opportunities throughout the year to socialize with the attendings, staff and their families.  Occasionally we will be asked by one attending or another to play golf, attend a social function, or simply have dinner at a restaurant after a hard days work.  In addition, Pittsburgh itself is a very historic place imbued with cultural activity.  There is a lot to see and experience, and thanks to the 80 hour work week, you may actually get to see some of it.  (Just kidding! !)  We have everything from sports teams to the Andy Warhol Museum so come and take a look.  You will find additional information about Pittsburgh at other places in the site, but I have included some of the resident’s favorite places to go when they are out of work.
