Main Operating Room

he main operating room consists of 27 surgical suites.  On any given day there are between four and six Orthopedic attendings operating.  In general, each attending schedules five to ten cases each operative day, not including trauma and add-ons.

 

Turn over time varies with the type of case but averages 30-45 minutes, allowing ample time for post-op checks, last minute reading, orders, consults, or lunch.
