The four-year Pathology and Laboratory Medicine Residency Program in anatomic and clinical pathology is both clinically and academically oriented and emphasizes the role of the pathologist as consultant in all areas of pathology. The program provides a 36-month core of anatomic and clinical pathology training with additional years of elective and clinically applied experience. Fellowships in cytopathology and surgical pathology are also offered.

The laboratory is equipped with an advanced clinical digital imaging system capable of diagnostic image capture and storage for research, conferencing and clinical reporting. Numerous conferences for pathology residents are available, including a didactic lecture series in clinical pathology, as well as regularly scheduled interdepartmental clinicopathologic correlation conferences and organ-specific conferences within the department.
