Sarah Battistone, Pharm.D.

PGY1 Pharmacy Practice Resident Hometown:  Washington, PA  

Education/ Post-Graduate Training: Gannon Univeristy – B.S. BiologyUniversity of Pittsburgh School of Pharmacy – Pharm.D. 

Why AGH/Pittsburgh:  I chose AGH because of its reputation and the flexibility of the program that will allow me to gear this year to exploring my interests.  I chose to stay in Pittsburgh because I really enjoy the city, all the different things to do here, and being close to my family.   Professional Interests/Future Goals:  As for the future, my plans are still undetermined.  I am exploring the option of completing a specialty residency next year.  Some of my interests include critical care, cardiology, and internal medicine. 

  


Tiffany Christopher, Pharm.D.

PGY1 Pharmacy Practice Resident Hometown:   Eighty-Four, PA 

Education/ Post-Graduate Training:   Duquesne University  

Why AGH/Pittsburgh:  AGH had the size residency program I was looking for as well as core and elective rotation I was interested in experiencing.  Professional Interests/Future Goals: I am interested in critical care and cardiology.  I am undecided on my plans for next year.   I hope to eventually have a clinical position and be affiliated with a university to serve as a preceptor to student and possibly be involved with teaching small group/case studies.

 


 

Amber Fullmer, Pharm.D.

Hometown: Shamokin, PA (Central PA About 1 hour north of Harrisburg)

Education: High School - Southern Columbia Area High School

                   Pharm.D. - Duquesne University

Why AGH/Pittsburgh: I love Pittsburgh!!! GO STEELERS!!!Professional Interests/Future Goals: Become a clinical specialist.

  


 

Christina Kelly, Pharm.D.

PGY1 Pharmacy Practice Resident Hometown:  Montoursville, PA 

Education/ Post-Graduate Training: University of Pittsburgh  

Why AGH/Pittsburgh:  I spent so many years here in school, Pittsburgh started to feel like my second home.  I love the city and all it has to offer.  AGH seemed like the perfect fit- it is in the right area, it is a tertiary care hospital with many clinical specialty areas and the staff made me feel right at home.

 

Professional Interests/Future Goals:   I am interested in a few different specialty areas at this point.  My hope is that my experiences through residency will help me find my niche in pharmacy. 


 

Lindsay Palkovic, Pharm.D.

PGY2 Critical Care Specialty Resident Hometown: Myerstown, Pennsylvania  

Education/ Post-Graduate Training: Pharmacy School: University of Pittsburgh School of PharmacyPGY-1: University of Pittsburgh Medical Center  

Why AGH/Pittsburgh:I selected AGH for their strengths in critical care.  Each ICU has a clinical pharmacist and a satellite pharmacy to enable the delivery of optimal patient care.  These features offer a rich environment to learn skills and knowledge of a specialist.  Professional Interests/Future Goals:Infectious Diseases in critical care patientsAnalgesia Future Goals: Clinical specialistResidency Director

Sara Soliman, Pharm.D.

PGY1 Pharmacy Practice Resident Hometown:  Chicago, IL  

Education/ Post-Graduate Training:  Doctor of Pharmacy, University of the Sciences, Philadelphia College of Pharmacy 

Why AGH/Pittsburgh: 

AGH offers a well-rounded residency program with rotations in several different departments.  As a student I complete of a couple of rotations here at AGH and I truly enjoyed my experience, which led me to come back.


Colleen Timlin, Pharm.D.

PGY1 Pharmacy Practice Resident Hometown:  Scranton, PA  

Education/ Post-Graduate Training:  Wilkes University  

Why AGH/Pittsburgh:  I came to AGH for the opportunity to practice in a large, urban, teaching hospital focused on patient care.  The program offered many services and specialties with preceptors devoted to the growth of its residents.  I also felt as though the staff and practitioners were open in accepting of residents and the role of a pharmacist in the healthcare team.   Professional Interests/Future Goals: 

In the future, I hope to pursue a specialization in either infection disease or oncology and potentially teach at a pharmacy school.
