Brief Narrative:
I took a long route to get to medicine but I've never regretted it - testing rocket engines in the Mojave Desert is boring compared to running a code! I worked in EMS/ER for 6 years prior to medical school in the Ohio Valley (Wheeling, WV area) and Allegheny General was always regarded as the 'Mecca' of healthcare. The Lifeflight crews were impressive and easy to deal with and we were always excited when AGH staff would speak at Wheeling Hospital. The AGH ED staff, attendings, and residents are all very approachable and willing to teach and learn. I had always planned on doing my training near OH and chose AGH for the location, reputation, and people. As everyone always advised me: I chose the 'best fit' for me and I am very pleased with the results.
Hobbies:
Playing guitar, riding dirt bikes, reading the Skeptical Inquirer, and drinking various Stouts and Porters around a campfire.
