Medical School: University of Pittsburgh Undergraduate: Bates College Hometown: Falmouth, MA Brief Narrative: I grew up in Cape Cod where I developed a fondness for seafood, pirates, salt water taffy, and the Red Sox (not necessarily in that order). I traveled to Maine for college, escaped for 2 semesters to study in Hawaii and go sailing with SEA, and then worked for a few years in Boston. I came to Pittsburgh for medical school and found this great city of friendly people, awesome parks with running trails, concerts, fireworks, 3 professional sport teams, and cool livable neighborhoods to explore. Health care is a big business here and there's a plenty of facilities, patients, and situations to see and learn from. I did a 4th year rotation at AGH and was impressed with the collegiality of the residents and attendings, the focus on training excellent well rounded EM physicians, and opportunities to explore specialty areas. Interests: Wiffle ball, traveling, baking cookies, and running.
