Brief Narrative:
My interest in emergency medicine began in college as an EMT-B with the student-run ambulance service at Tulane. I continued working/volunteering with various EMS providers (New Orleans Health Department, Priority EMS, Bethesda-Chevy Chase Rescue Squad) while pursing my undergraduate degree and conducting research at the NIH. After graduating from LSU Medical School in New Orleans, I volunteered with the Americorp program as a National Preparedness and Response Corps member assigned to the Red Cross.

I chose AGH because it offered the best of all worlds. Robust EMS involvement, solid trauma service, and espirit de corps among the residents were all attractive features of the program.
