Surgical Pathology Fellowship
A one-year fellowship is offered to provide advanced training and experience in general surgical pathology. Allegheny General Hospital (AGH) is a 754-bed tertiary medical center serving southwestern Pennsylvania. Approximately 20,000 surgical and 20,000 cytology specimens are accessioned annually with an expanding fine needle aspiration biopsy program. Besides general surgical pathology, special areas of excellence include breast, urologic, pulmonary, liver/GI, gynecologic and neuropathology. The NSABP is located at AGH with opportunities for collaboration. Elective time is available in cytology/FNA biopsy, as well as for clinical and/or basic research. There are also excellent facilities for ancillary techniques including immunohistochemistry, flow cytometry, cytogenetics and molecular diagnostics as well as digital imaging.
Requirements:
Applicants should be Board certified or eligible in AP or AP/CP. The appointment is for one year. |
