When it comes to your health and that of your loved ones, no distance is too far to travel. Seeking care, however, brings with it a number of concerns. Where are you going to go if you or a family member gets sick? How are you going to get there? Who will take care of you? At Allegheny General Hospital, we realize that receiving quality health care is important, especially when you are far from home. With a variety of medical and surgical specialties and access to skilled, experienced physicians, Allegheny General Hospital is committed to meeting your needs in a way that is convenient, affordable and comfortable for you.

We understand that being far from home can be unsettling. The language and the culture may be unfamiliar and you may not be sure of where to go and how to get there. Rest assured, however, that International Services will help our international patients navigate our health-care system and city, so that you will feel comfortable and secure.

Allegheny International Services will gladly assist and facilitate the arrangements for medical care, accommodations, finances and transportation. Furthermore, we will help you with all aspects of your health-care experience at Allegheny General. Should translation services be required, we will arrange for an interpreter to be available for you. If you require spiritual support, we can assist you in securing religious resources at Allegheny general and in the City of Pittsburgh. We can attend to your special dietary requirements by providing consultation with dietitians during your hospitalization and we can also make recommendations for local restaurants that you may enjoy during your stay in Pittsburgh.
