AKMC Trust to Hold Wall-Wrecking Reception on October 2

Participants will celebrate Phase 2 of Emergency Department Project

September 22, 2009

Natrona Heights, Pa., - Construction has officially begun on Phase 2 of the Emergency Department Renovation and Expansion Project at Alle-Kiski Medical Center (AKMC), and to celebrate, the AKMC Trust is hosting a Wall-Wrecking Reception on Friday, October 2, 2009 from 4 – 7 p.m. in the front circle of the Natrona Heights hospital campus.

Attendees will enjoy a casual autumn evening featuring wine and hors d’oeuvres and the chance to take a swing at one of the walls that will be coming down to make way for the new and improved Emergency Department at AKMC.

“The Wall-Wrecking Reception promises to be a very unique fundraiser,” said Nancy Giuliotti, Executive Director of the AKMC Trust. “Not only is it a great way to celebrate the eagerly-awaited start of Phase 2 of the ED Project, but our guests will have the opportunity to put on hard hats and safety glasses and ‘take a swing for the new wing,’ too!”

Tickets are $25 per person or $40 per couple. Reservations can be made by contacting the AKMC Trust at 724-226-7178. Deadline for reservations is Friday, September 25. All proceeds from the event will benefit the Capital Campaign for Emergency and Urgent Care Services at AKMC.
