AKMC Orthopaedic Surgeon to Discuss Joint Replacement Options
October 13, 2009Natrona Heights, Pa., – Alle-Kiski Medical Center’s (AKMC) PriorityCare program will host Michael Miller, MD for a presentation entitled “Joint Replacement Options” on Thursday, October 22, at 6 p.m. in the Charles W. Young Conference Center at the hospital in Harrison.
Joint replacement is the process of removing one’s entire joint and replacing it with a metal prosthesis (artificial joint). Understanding the options, pros and cons is the first step in the decision to choose surgery. Joint replacements often provide a much-needed relief from pain.
Dr. Miller is a board certified orthopaedic surgeon who specializes in joint replacement. He practices with Greater Pittsburgh Orthopaedics, Brackenridge and is on staff at Alle-Kiski Medical Center.
