Through donations by residents of the Alle-Kiski Valley and beyond, the Blood Bank at Allegheny Valley Hospital provides blood and vital blood products to local patients who need it as a part of their medical care. Donating at the hospital or during one of the Blood Bank’s blood draws at churches, businesses and social clubs in the AK Valley — along with weekly events at Destination Wellness at the Galleria at Pittsburgh Mills — benefits local patients who need blood because of major surgery, accidents or trauma, or disease.
To better serve our friends and neighbors who donate blood, the Blood Bank at Allegheny Valley Hospital unveiled new hours of operation. The Blood Bank, at 1301 Carlisle Street, Natrona Heights, will be open:
Mondays, Tuesdays and Thursdays - 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Fridays and Saturdays - 8 a.m. to 1 p.m.
We are closed Wednesdays and Sundays.
We offer free parking, and no appointments are needed.
