Center for Joint Success Knee and Hip Replacement Classes

Regaining Your Freedom

One of the major factors that ensure a successful recovery from any surgery is knowing what to expect during your hospitalization and rehabilitation. This is true for patients as well as families.

At Alle-Kiski Medical Center, patient education is a high priority. We want to answer all your
questions and make sure your hospitalization and recovery go as smoothly as possible. Therefore, we conduct an education class for all patients scheduled for total joint replacement surgery and for individuals who are considering surgery.

The class is conducted by members of our Joint Replacement Program Team and is offered free of charge.

• Classes are scheduled every Wednesday,
beginning at 7:30 a.m., and last for one hour.

• Necessary blood work can be completed
between 7:30 - 8:30 a.m.

• A continental breakfast will be served
beginning at 8 a.m.

• Cardiograms, chest x-rays and initial physical
and occupational therapy visits will be
completed, if desired, immediately following
the class.
