Prehospital Services

Prehospital Services at Alle-Kiski Medical Center includes medical direction, education, quality assurance, emergency medical services and communication centers.

AKMC's program serves portions of Allegheny, Armstrong, Butler and Westmoreland Counties and operates AK-PULSER in conjunction with the EMS services of the Alle-Kiski Valley. This rapid-response paramedic unit provides medical support through paramedic intercept and station-based paramedics. AKMC is a community-based command hospital with the benefit of resources provided by tertiary care facilities.
