How to Make Your Contribution Outright Gifts: The most common donations are outright gifts, such as those made by cash, check or credit card, which we receive right away. You receive an immediate tax deduction for your gift. Payroll deductions are available to AKMC employees in which a specified amount is deducted from the employee’s paycheck each pay period. Pledges: A donor may want to make a total gift that is larger than he or she can pay immediately. In these instances, donors can pledge the desired amount and pay it in installments over a period of three years. Planned Gifts: Sometimes donors want to hold on to their assets for now, just to be sure they can meet their family’s future financial needs. People are delighted to learn that we have excellent alternatives which allow them to make a deferred gift. You may designate your gift to a particular clinical department, or to where the need is greatest. Your gift can be made as a memorial to a loved one, or as a tribute to a nurse, physician, family member or friend. The attached envelope will provide you with the opportunity to designate your gift.
