WOMEN’S AUXILIARY OF CANONSBURG GENERAL HOSPITAL HONORED FOR HOURS OF SERVICE

Canonsburg, PA (September 17, 2009) – Members of the Women’s Auxiliary were honored during an awards dinner in the hospital’s McNary Conference Center. A total of 88 active members, with 14 new members volunteered 20,046 hours from July 1, 2008 through June 30, 2009. The Women’s Auxiliary raises funds for hospital equipment and services through snack shop sales, basket raffles and specialty item sales. Since 1965, the members have donated over $2.3 million to the hospital. These funds have allowed Canonsburg General Hospital to purchase the new digital mammography equipment.
