Stroke/Brain Attack Program

Canonsburg General Hospital offers the following services for the diagnosis and treatment of stroke:

• Acute stroke care
• Cardiovascular screenings and testing
• Availability of board-certified cardiovascular surgeons
• Neurology services
• Comprehensive rehabilitation services on an inpatient and outpatient basis (physical/occupational/speech therapies)
• Inpatient stroke rehabilitation unit with the primary focus on helping patients to reach their realistic and maximum potential and independence in living skills, mobility and communication.  The 16-bed unit features private rooms, designated therapy area, 24-hour nursing care, discharge planning, 24-hour-a-day emergency care and an activity program.  For a tour of the unit, call 724-745-3908.
