Echocardiology
An echocardiogram, a non-invasive test, is one of the standard diagnostic tools in cardiology; evaluating the cardiac structure and flow information to detect and manage types of heart disease.
Canonsburg General Hospital's Echocardiology Laboratory recently achieved accreditation by the Intersocietal Commission for Accreditation of Echocardiology Laboratories (ICAEL). According to ICAEL, the hospital's echocardiology laboratory is one of the first one thousand echocardiology laboratories in the United States, Canada and Puerto Rico to be so recognized for its commitment to high quality patient care and its provision of quality testing for the diagnosis of heart disease.

EKG
EKG testing is available 7 days per week; 6:30 a.m. to 4 p.m., Monday through Friday and 7 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday. No appointment is necessary.
Nuclear Cardiology
The Nuclear Cardiology Department is equipped with state-of-the-art dual head digital cameras. All nuclear technologists have their degrees in Nuclear Medicine and are also board certified in Nuclear Medicine, with many years of experience. The Cardiology nurse is a registered nurse with many years of experience in both critical care, as well as nuclear cardiology. The department is equipped and ready to handle any emergency and is also located in close proximity to the emergency department.
The Nuclear Cardiology staff performs cardiac stress testing Monday through Friday beginning at 6 a.m. The department has three local cardiology physician groups who perform and interpret stress tests at Canonsburg General Hospital, as well as interpreting the EKG, echo and vascular procedures.
