Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR)

Citizens School of Nursing faculty and students are required to obtain certification in cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) for healthcare providers and to maintain certification barring any major physical handicaps.

Those with handicaps must attend an annual review of the cognitive portion of a CPR for healthcare providers course.

Students and faculty may obtain certification in CPR for healthcare providers through such community resources as the American Heart Association or American Red Cross or Destination Wellness (located at Pittsburgh Mills Mall, near Citizens School of Nursing).
