Education

The faculty consists of dedicated, board-certified physicians with strong interests in teaching and clinical research. Teaching rounds with a dedicated faculty member occur each day with the fellows, medicine residents and medical students. The goal is to create a learning environment in which fellows learn the fundamental principles that govern the practice of pulmonary and critical care medicine, and also develop the clinical skills to provide the full continuity of patient care also incorporating the principles of a commitment to lifelong learning, the value of cooperative and collaborative team work, and the importance of the psychosocial aspects of patient care.
