Conferences
The Allegheny General Hospital (AGH) Department of Radiology holds conferences twice daily. Conferences cover the full gamut of radiology and radiologic physics topics.
The didactic curriculum is typically presented at 7:30 a.m. conference. There are numerous case review conferences and conferences based on the Brant and Helms text. There are conferences specifically geared to first-year residents in the beginning of the year and at the end of the year for call preparedness.
Finally, there are a number of multidisciplinary conferences that Radiology residents are encouraged to attend.
Our physics curriculum is presented by Margaret (Peggy) Blackwood, MD, who is certified by the American Board of Radiology in Radiologic Physics and is involved in developing the ABR physics curriculum.
We are also delighted to host a number of visiting professors each year to round out our educational program.
