![]() About the Richard M. Johnston Health Sciences LibraryThe Richard M. Johnston Health Sciences Library consolidates books and publications once housed in many separate collections, while providing electronic access both to and from this central location. It affords medical, nursing and allied health students; residents, physicians and other health professionals quick and easy access to the most current research and practices. Eighteen up-to-date computer stations, with high-bandwidth Internet access at each machine, have tripled the Hospital's capacity to accommodate students and researchers. The Library is available for use by all staff and customers of The Western Pennsylvania Hospital. Hospital staff may arrange to access the library outside open hours by contacting the librarian to receive a code to enter on the keypad outside the Library.
