Department of Medicine Temple Medical Students Procedures Lab

This medical procedures lab is designed to provide graduating medical students with the procedural and cognitive skills necessary to begin internship.

Learning Objectives

  • This course will focus on procedural competency for emergency procedures, including airway management, lumbar puncture, and central venous line placement.
  • It also focuses on cognitive skills and appropriate response to floor medical emergencies.

Expected Outcomes

Graduating students will demonstrate the ability to both safely and competently perform the above emergency procedures as well as competently respond to floor medical emergencies as presented.
