Adult Airway Management and CLINICAL Assessment

The Adult Airway Management and Clinical Assessment course provides the participant with the opportunity to practice airway management with intubation and assessment skills. At the completion of this course, the expected outcomes include:

  • Skills improvement
  • Increased self-confidence
  • Improved accuracy with clinical airway management (intubation) and assessment skills
  • Improvement in arterial puncture technique

Learning Objectives

  • Practice airway management with intubation and follow up, including assessing placement and cuff pressure and securing the endotracheal tube.
  • Accurately assess vital signs, including heart rate/pulse, blood pressure, respiratory rate, and oximetry saturation.
  • Practice arterial puncture.

  • Respiratory therapy students
