First Responder Roles in Hospital BLS

The First Responder Roles in Hospital BLS course provides the participant with the opportunity to review the steps of healthcare provider basic life support (BLS) as they are applied to situations in the hospital setting. Participants will be able to practice assessing unresponsiveness, breathlessness, and pulses while assisting with BLS of patients in various code/alert scenarios. Participants can also practice using some of the common items on the hospital crash/code cart, including equipment for airway maintenance, oxygen delivery, and manual ventilation.
Learning Objective
- To increase comfort level of the participants in emergency situations (including chest compressions, airway management and ventilation, and patient assessment)
