Support Service Associate Course

This course allows the participant to learn the basic theoretical knowledge to proficiently perform the skills and techniques necessary to establish and maintain a safe patient environment.

Theoretical knowledge, in addition to hands on practical experience, is provided in a simulated hospital environment with state-of-the-art equipment.

Learning Objectives

  • Identify equipment commonly seen in a patient room
  • Identify deficiencies in a patient room that pose a safety risk to the patient, visitors, or other staff
  • To promote discussion about how to avoid and/or correct these safety deficiencies
