This online course designed for STAR facilitators, provides an overview of what debriefing is and how to incorporate it into simulation education. Through the study of theoretical information, STAR course instructors will gain an understanding of the debriefing process. STAR instructors will learn what elements yield a successful debriefing session and will learn how to positively impact student learning, even after the simulated exercise is finished. Upon completion of this course, the STAR course facilitators will have the knowledge to conduct effective debriefing sessions in their own simulated scenarios.
