Harvey® Patient Simulator
Harvey® The Cardiopulmonary Patient Simulator was purchased with a generous donation from The Governing Board of The Women's Committee of The Western Pennsylvania Hospital.
"Harvey" has been used to teach bedside cardiac assessment skills for decades - the longest continuous university-based simulation project in medical education.
"Harvey" can realistically simulate almost any cardiac disease at the touch of a button by varying blood pressure, pulses, heart sounds, and murmurs. The comprehensive "Harvey" curriculum starts with common, less complex conditions and progress to more rare and more complex diseases:
| • Introductory Program • Normal • Innocent Murmur • Aortic Valve Sclerosis • Hypertension • Angina Pectoris • Acute Inferior Myocardial Infarction (MI) • Acute Anterior MI • Ventricular Aneurysm • Mitral Valve Prolapse (MVP) • MVP, Isolated Click and Murmur |
