Please join Matthew Coppola, MD, Department of Internal Medicine, Allegheny General Hospital as he speaks about being bullied in your golden years.
The number of seniors who report feeling fearful or anxious during stays in hospitals, nursing homes and rehabilitation centers as the result of bullying is growing at an alarming rate. Suprisingly, seniors report bullying behaviors in senior centers, senior high rises, their own homes and communites, as well. Seniors are sometimes the victim and sometimes the bully.
Dr. Coppola will lead a very frank discussion around identifying bullying behaviors both in the well community and in the health care system.
Come and learn what you can do to protect yourself and what you should do if you witness bullying behavior.
