Shingles - Playing The Odds

Please join Matthew Coppola, MD, Department of Internal Medicine, Allegheny General Hospital for this free lecture on the topic of Shingles.

One in three people will experience Shingles at some point in their lives.  The risk of developing Shingles increases with age.  Some experts estimate that one half of people who live to age 85 will contract Shingles.

Can you "catch" Shingles from being exposed to someone who has Shingles?  Can you develop Shingles a second time?  Should you get the Shingles Vaccine?

This presentation will include discussion of symptoms, complications, and treatment.

Any adult member within the community are welcome to attend.
