Tai Chi For Health 9 Wk Series

Weeks of September 11, 18, 25, October 2, 9, 16, 23, 30, and November 6.

West Penn Allegheny Health System Integrated Medicine Program and Lupus Center of Excellence in cooperation with the Arthritis Foundation are offering a 9 Wk Tai Chi class taught by Gurney Bolster, MA, registered dance/movement therapist and certified Tai Chi instructor.

Part exercise, part meditation this Tai Chi class is gentle and can be performed standing or sitting.  No experience required. It is a great way to quiet the mind, reduce tension and gently strengthen the body. Tai Chi is known to improve concentration, breathing, stability and agility.  Done regularly, it  has been shown to alleviate pain, prevent falls, reduce blood pressure and balance blood sugar.

Excellent for maintaining wellness in healthy individuals, its slow, fluid, balanced movements may also help people manage chronic health conditions.
