We are pleased to announce the expansion of the West Penn Allegheny One-Call Center. This expansion now offers physician access to Allegheny General Hospital (AGH), Forbes Regional Hospital (FRH) and West Penn Hospital (WPH). These services are available to physicians 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, to assist them with transferring or admitting patients to AGH, FRH or WPH via a single phone call. Briefly, the program works as follows:

The One-Call Center will . . .

• Obtain essential patient information
• Connect you with the appropriate physician or specialist
• Handle all of the admission information/processes
• Advise you of the patient’s destination
• Notify you when the bed will be available
• Arrange for air-medical transport via LifeFlight, if necessary

AGH, FRH or WPH Physicians
For routine admissions for patients coming from home or office, continue to call 412-359-3200 (AGH), 412-858-2332 (FRH) or 412-578-5062 (WPH) and our admission representatives will assist you with admitting your patient to AGH, FRH or WPH.

For emergent admissions or inter-facility transfers, please call 1-888-660-4884 or 412-359-8066. The One-Call Center will retrieve the essential information and work with all of the appropriate entities at AGH, FRH or WPH to complete your patient’s admission.

The West Penn Allegheny One-Call Center is your one-point facilitator for the admission process into AGH, FRH or WPH. Designed specifically with the physician in mind, the One-Call Center will make it easier than ever for you to focus on what matters most – and leave the rest up to us.
