 Forbes Hospice is a not-for-profit organization, and as such, relies on donations and contributions from the community to further its mission of caring for people and families affected by a life limiting illness. Unique programs such as the palliative care program, residential services and children's care are provided to the community, regardless of their ability to pay. No one is ever turned away because of an inability to pay. Philanthropic gifts from friends like you allow us to care for patients who are uninsured or under insured. Donations enhance the services we can provide, for instance, providing grief counseling to surviving family members at no cost. You may choose to make a gift to either our endowment fund or our annual fund. The endowment fund ensures that Forbes Hospice will be here for patients and families in future years. Interest from this fund is disbursed yearly to support the programs of Forbes Hospice. Annual fund gifts are used to make up the difference between what we receive in reimbursement and the cost of caring for uninsured and under insured patients. |
