Cafe Allegheny
Cafe Allegheny, AGH’s cafeteria, is located on the second floor of the Snyder Pavilion.
- Cafe Allegheny is open during the following hours:
- Monday through Friday – 6 a.m. to midnight
(hot food lines close at 7 p.m. Grab & Go entrees and snacks available from 7 p.m. to midnight) - Saturday and Sunday – 6 a.m. to 11:30 p.m.

- Monday through Friday – 6 a.m. to midnight
- Offering a fresh salad bar, deli sandwiches, grill specials, homemade soups and a variety of featured entrees and sides made fresh daily

Grand Grounds Coffee Cart
The Grand Grounds Coffee Cart is located in the main lobby on the first floor of Snyder Pavilion, near the Allegheny General Hospital Gift Shop.
- Open Monday through Friday 6:30 a.m. to 6 p.m.
- Offering a variety of freshly brewed Fortunes coffee and espresso drinks, teas, milkshakes, baked goods and more!
- Every Tuesday and Thursday, Grand Grounds offers a selection of baked goods from Priory Fine Pastries.
- "On-the-Go" cookies and poundcakes for customers after 5 p.m.
- Cash only – will not accept credit or debit cards.
Grand Grounds is sponsored by the Allegheny General Hospital Auxiliary.
Allegheny General Hospital Gift Shop and the Cancer Center Gift Shop
The Allegheny General Hospital Gift Shop is located in the main lobby on the first floor of Snyder Pavilion.
- The Gift Shop is open during the following hours:
- Monday - Friday -- 8 a.m. to 8:30 p.m.
- Saturday and Sunday -- 10:30 a.m. to 5 p.m.
The Gift Shop will also take phone orders to be delivered to patient rooms. Please call 412.359.3168 for more information.
The Cancer Center Gift Shop is located on the second floor of the Allegheny Cancer Center near the James Street Parking Garage entrance and Allegheny Cancer Center Cafe.
- The Cancer Center Gift Shop is open during the following hours:
- Monday - Friday -- 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.
- Monday - Friday -- 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.
Both shops offer a variety of snacks and beverages, as well as reading materials, greeting cards, floral arrangements and gifts for every occasion
The Allegheny General Hospital Gift Shop and the Cancer Center Gift Shop accept all major credit cards, debit cards, and cash. The Gift Shops are sponsored by the Allegheny General Hospital Auxiliary.
In addition, vending machines are located throughout the building.
The North Side is also home to a variety of delicious and affordable restaurants -- find everything from a great cup of coffee to decadent pastries at the following local establishments (most just a few minutes walk from the hospital):
