Volunteering
Welcome to the Volunteer program at Allegheny Valley Hospital (AVH) and thank you for your interest!
People volunteer for a variety of reasons and AVH welcomes those who choose to volunteer with us. Whether you have a little time or a lot, consider the opportunity to share your time and talent with the patients and employees of AVH.
About Us
Adults of all ages share their time and talent to lend a helping hand in many areas and hospital departments.
Students from age 15 to 18 volunteer as “Teen Timers” in the Auxiliary’s Gift and Coffee Shop. At age 15, students can opt to volunteer in another hospital department with or without patient interaction.
Volunteering at AVH is a wonderful way to make an important contribution to your community. With locations in New Kensington and Natrona Heights, you can find a place convenient for you.
Benefits
AVH extends several courtesies to our volunteers. Providing these courtesies helps minimize the costs incurred by volunteers and is our way of thanking you for your willingness to help us serve our patients.
