Bone Density DEXA
DEXA scans measure bone density. The DEXA machine uses a special, low, dose X-ray. A picture is taken of the selected bone area (or areas) being scanned. Your information is scanned into a computer that is connected to the DEXA machine. It measures the quality and quantity of the material inside your bones. This is referred to as your “bone density." If your doctor has prescribed a DEXA scan, please refer to the map below in order to find a location that is convenient for you.
