AKMC Physicians Discuss the Thyroid Gland

Natrona Heights, Pa. – Ear, nose and throat specialist, Richard Bernat, MD and endocrinologist, Kamala Rajupet, MD will present “Question and Answers about the Thyroid Gland” on January 27 at 6 p.m. at Alle-Kiski Medical Center, Natrona Heights in the Charles W. Young Conference Center. 

The thyroid gland plays an important role in a number of areas and can impact you in many ways. Nodules, goiters and hormonal issues and an over or under active thyroid can affect many aspects of your health and well being. The doctors will review how problems are diagnosed and treatment selected. Medical and surgical solutions will be discussed.

Dr. Bernat, board certified in otolaryngology, serves on the surgical staff at AKMC. His office is located in Brackenridge. Dr. Rajupet is board certified in endocrinology, the study of diabetes, thyroid and other glands. Her office is located at the Joslin Diabetes Center in New Kensington.
