Pledge the Gift of Life

Each year, the lives of thousands of people across the country are saved because someone made the choice to become an organ donor. In April, Allegheny Health Network is honored to celebrate National Donate Life Month and pay tribute to all of those who have bestowed the precious gift of life to another through organ donation. Visit AHNdonate.org to learn more and register to be an organ donor.

Alle-Kiski Medical Center offers Legal Workshop

Friday, January 29th, 2010

Natrona Heights Pa., – Alle-Kiski Medical Center’s (AKMC) PriorityCare program is hosting a seminar
“If I Only Knew…When Do You Need a Will, Living Will or Power of Attorney” on February 18, 2010 from 1 to 3 p.m. at Alle-Kiski Medical Center’s Charles W. Young Conference Center, Natrona Heights.

Elder law expert, Laurel Hartshorn, an attorney based in Saxonburg, is the presenter. Attorney Hartshorn will discuss planning for your needs in the event of illness including asset preservation, helping older relatives, necessary legal documents, special trusts and other important issues.

Planning ahead and having difficult conversations before the need ensures that our wishes are honored and provides our families with great peace of mind. Our families will appreciate any pre-planning we do.

The program is free and open to the public, but reservations are requested by February 1. Please call AKMC’s PriorityCare program at 724-226-7339 to reserve your place. This is a no solicitation educational program.
