AKMC Physicians Discuss the Thyroid Gland

Natrona Heights, Pa. – Ear, nose and throat specialists, Anthony Ulizio, MD and Richard Bernat, MD will present “Understanding the Thyroid Gland and Related Issues” on January 20 at 6 p.m. at Alle-Kiski Medical Center, Natrona Heights in the Charles W. Young Conference Center. 

The thyroid gland plays an important role in a number of areas and can impact you in many ways. Nodules, goiters and hormonal issues and an over or under active thyroid can affect your health and well being. The doctors will review how problems are diagnosed and treatment selected. Medical and surgical solutions will be discussed.

Dr. Ulizio and Dr. Bernat, board certified in otolaryngology, serve on the surgical staff at AKMC. Their office is located in Brackenridge.
