AVH Offers Low Vision Rehabilitation Lecture

Wednesday, January 9th, 2013

Natrona Heights, Pa., – The PriorityCare program of Allegheny Valley Hospital (AVH) will host “Low Vision Rehabilitation: Making the Most of Your Sight” on Friday, February 8, 2013 at 1 p.m. in the Charles W. Young Conference Center at hospital in Harrison.
A person with low vision may have severely reduced sight, inability to see contrast or some obstruction in the vision field – or all three limitations.  Low vision can impact independence and quality of life.
The program will be presented by Kristy Ondriezek, OTR/L from AVH’s Occupational Therapy Department.  Ms. Ondriezek, a licensed occupational therapist with specialized training in low vision rehabilitation, will discuss the impact low vision has on your lifestyle and how rehabilitation and training can help you maximize your functioning and independence with the sight you have.
Please call the PriorityCare office at 724-226-7339 to make reservations.  The program is free and open to the public.
