Birth of the Allegheny Health Network
Two weeks ago Highmark and the West Penn Allegheny Health System entered into an affiliation that established the Allegheny Health Network, a unique patient-centric integrated healthcare delivery network for the western Pennsylvania region. Dr. Tony Farah, Chief Medical Officer for the Network, and Dr. Blair Jobe, a former leading UPMC surgeon who recently joined the Network, were guests on KDKA-TV's Sunday Business Page with John Delano and talked about why the Network will set the standard for healthcare quality, service and affordability. AVH Welcomes Rajiv S. Swamy, MD

Natrona Heights, Pa., - Allegheny Valley Hospital (AVH) is pleased to welcome interventional cardiologist Rajiv S. Swamy, MD to its medical staff.
Dr. Swamy completed his undergraduate work at Duke University in Durham, North Carolina in Economics and Chemistry. He received his medical degree from the University of Chicago-Pritzker School of Medicine in Chicago, Illinois and went on to complete his medicine internship, residency and cardiology fellowship at the University of Chicago Medical Center. Dr. Swamy finished his interventional fellowship at New York University Medical Center where he had special training in coronary, peripheral and structural heart disease.
While at the University of Chicago Medical Center, Dr. Swamy served as Chief Medical Resident and Instructor of Medicine.
Dr. Swamy is board-certified in internal medicine, nuclear cardiology and is board-eligible in cardiovascular disease and echocardiography
Dr. Swamy practices with Tri-County Cardiology with offices in Natrona Heights and Lower Burrell. He has staffing privileges at Allegheny Valley Hospital, West Penn Hospital and Allegheny General Hospital.
