The Almanac: CGH's lobby offers privacy, comfort

Friday, November 19th, 2010

We all know about makeovers. In recent years, do overs have grown from personal improvements to rooms, landscapes, public buildings and so much more.
Comparing the old with the new and marveling at the results is what we enjoy.

To the delight of the Canonsburg Hospital administration, staff, volunteers and everyone who enters, a fresh new look welcomes all through a refurbished gateway into the hospital.

From floor to ceiling, everything has been updated and improved--providing confidentiality, privacy and comfort.

This main entryway has grown to be a busy walkthrough and holding place over the years.

As the hospital continues to offer additional outpatient services, volunteer greeters are needed to play a more active role. From their contemporary new work station, men and women welcome patients and visitors, offer directions and escort patients to various departments for care. They provide folks as they enter with the initial connection and the first impression of the hospital.
