Celebrating the Ultimate Gift of Life -- Through Organ Donation
In celebration of national Donate Life Month, Allegheny General Hospital's Transplant Program brought families of organ donors, living donors and transplant recipients together for a beautiful ceremony recognizing all of those who have bestowed the gift of life to another human being through organ donation. KDKA's David Crawley was there and put together a wonderful tribute these heroic individuals. Watch it here!

Canonsburg General Hospital’s 15th Annual Giving Thanks Essay Contest Winners
Monday, November 19th, 2012
Canonsburg, PA, November 19, 2012 – Several hundred students entered Canonsburg General Hospital’s 15th Annual Giving Thanks Essay Contest this year. One winner from each elementary and intermediate school in Canon-McMillan, Peters Township, Chartiers - Houston School Districts, and St. Patrick’s School was chosen by a panel of judges at the hospital. A dinner honoring the winners will be held at the hospital on Tuesday, November 20, 2012.
One lucky young winner, Shea Pitts, wrote about missing her father who is currently serving in the Air Force. Through the benefits of technology, her father will be able to “join” the festivities via Skype.
