AKMC Elects New Directors to Board

Natrona Heights, Pa. – Alle-Kiski Medical Center (AKMC) is pleased to announce that three new members have been elected to the hospital’s board of directors.

Russell Livingston is President of Babb, Inc., one of the state’s oldest and largest privately held insurance brokers and third party administrators. Livingston has extensive experience and expertise in assisting employers in the development of quality, affordable insurance plans. He has over 24 years of experience in the insurance industry. Livingston holds a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from Westminster College. He resides in Fox Chapel.

Jason Ross is Senior Vice President, CFO and Treasurer for both Allegheny Valley Bank and Allegheny Valley Bancorp, Inc. He is a Certified Public Accountant with experience in financial reporting, mergers and acquisitions, strategic planning, insurance management, Sarbanes-Oxley compliance, risk management and facilities management. His previous work experience includes six years with Arthur Andersen LLP and six years at Parkvale Bank. Ross holds a bachelor’s degree in Accounting from West Virginia University. He has also served as a trustee for the Alle-Kiski Medical Center Trust since October 2008. Ross resides in Natrona Heights.

Ruth Becker, installed as 2010-2011 President of the AVH Auxiliary, will also join the board of directors representing the hospital’s Auxiliary. Becker resides in Natrona Heights.

“I am thrilled to have these very accomplished men and women serving as directors for the hospital,” said Ned Laubacher, President and CEO. “They bring a wealth of professional knowledge and experience to their roles and I look forward to working with them.”
