Stroke Symptoms and Care is Consultant’s Topic

Natrona Heights, Pa., –The PriorityCare program of Allegheny Valley Hospital (AVH) will host “Stroke Symptoms and Solutions: The Bridge to Expert Care” on Tuesday, March 6, 2012 at 6 p.m. at the AVH Outpatient Care Center located at 224 Longfellow Street, Vandergrift.
Teresa Domit, RN, PhD, AVH’s chest pain and tele-medicine consultant will help you recognize the symptoms of a stroke, review the importance of seeking the appropriate intervention within the “golden hour” and explain what to do in the event this happens to you. She will also review the available treatment options and inform you about what is considered state-of-the-art care.  Dr. Domit, in addition to being a registered nurse, is an expert in the provision of advanced patient care.
